Mask mandates are becoming more widespread across the country and the world. The CDC has suggested that the increased protective mask wearing will slow the spread of COVID-19 and can be a factor in decreasing the symptom severity of those affected.
Unfortunately, sometimes a face covering can sometimes prove difficult for respiratory patients. Patients report feelings of breathlessness and symptoms of CO2 buildup.
To alleviate these issues this mask is lightweight. It weighs even less than a sheet of paper! It's thin to allow maximum breathability and comfort. This mask is ideal for those with respiratory issues. However protection is not sacrificed for comfort.
This mask is made with nanofiber technology. Fabric doesn't necessarily have to be thick to provide adequate protection. Protection comes from how tightly knit the weave is. This light fiber keeps you cool, holds less moisture than similarly rated masks. Test reports on the CDC website indicate that this mask can filter up to 97% of particles, or 2% more than the KN95 masks used by health professionals. These test results are currently being verified by the NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
We suggest that you rotate masks and not use the same mask for at least 72 hours. This 2 pack should be sufficient if you are only needing face protection a couple times a week.
Please keep in mind that neither this or any other mask will protect you 100% from illness. Proper social distancing, and handwashing protocols should be followed. It's also recommended that those in the high risk category, such as those with COPD or other chronic conditions should avoid crowds as much as possible.
